(ख) विशुद्ध्यमानक-उपशम श्रेणी तथा क्षपक श्रेणी पर चढते हुए साधु के परिणाम उत्तरोत्तर विशुद्ध होते है, उसका चारित्र।
(५) यथाख्यातचारित्र-कषायोदय का सर्वथा अभाव होने से अतिचाररहित विशुद्ध चारित्र। इसके दो भेद है
(क) छामस्थिक-११वे गुणस्थानवर्ती छद्मस्थ मुनि का चारित्र-इसमे मोह सर्वथा क्षीण नही होता, उपशान्त रहता है। अतः यह प्रतिपाति कहा जाता है।
(ख) कैवलिक-बारहवे गुणस्थान मे प्रवेश करते ही मोह क्षीण हो जाता है। फिर वह आगे १३वे तथा १४वे गुणस्थान मे ही पहुंचता है। क्षीण मोह मुनि का चारित्र अप्रतिपाति है। पॉच चारित्र के सम्बन्ध में विस्तृत वर्णन के लिए ज्ञान मुनि कृत हिन्दी टीका पृ. ८१०-८१८ तथा जैन सिद्धान्त बोल सग्रह, भाग १ देखना चाहिए।

(Ans.) Charitra Guna Pramana (standard of validation by conduct-attributes) is of five kinds—(1) Samayık Charitra Guna Pramana (standard of validation by attributes of conduct of abstinence from all sinful activities including killing of living beings), (2) Chhedopasthaniya Charitra Guna Pramana (standard of validation by attributes of conduct of re-initiation after rectifying faults), (3) Pariharavishuddhi Charitra Guna Pramana (standard of validation by attributes of conduct of higher austerities leading to purity), (4) Sukshmasamparaya Charitra Guna Pramana (standard of validation by attributes of conduct of the level where only residual subtle passions exist), (5) Yathakhyat Charitra Guna Pramana (standard of validation by attributes of conduct defined as perfect).
(1) Samayık Charitra Guna Pramana is of two kinds(a) Itvarık (temporary), and (b) Yavatkathit (life-long).
(2) Chhedopasthaniya Charitra Guna Pramana is of two kinds-a) Satichar (with rectification of faults),and (b) Nuratichar (without rectification of faults as no faults appear).
