Uttar-valkriya (secondary transmuted) body is countable fraction of an angul and the maximum is two hundred fifty dhanushas.
In case of Tamahprabha land the minimum avagahana (space et en occupied) of the Bhavadharaniya (normal) body is innumerable fraction of an angul and the maximum is two hundred fifty dhanushas. The minimum avagahana (space occupied) of the Uttar-varkriya (secondary transmuted) body is countable fraction of an angul and the maximum is five hundred dhanushas.
(६) तमतमापुढवीए नेरइयाणं भंते ! केमहालिया सरीरोगाहणा पत्नत्ता ? गोयमा ! दुविहा पन्नत्ता। तं जहा-१. भवधारणिज्जा य, २. उत्तरवेउब्विया य।।
तत्थ णं जा सा भवधारणिज्जा सा जहन्नेणं अंगुलस्स असंखेज्जइभागं उक्कोसेणं पंच धणुसयाई।
तत्थ णं जा सा उत्तरवेउब्विया सा जहन्नेणं अंगुलस्स संखेज्जइभागं उक्कोसेणं
नित्ता!
धणुसहस्सं।
(६) (प्र.) भगवन् ! तमःतमाप्रभापृथ्वी के नैरयिको की शरीरावगाहना कितनी बडी कही है?
(उ.) गौतम ! वह भी दो प्रकार की कही है-(१) भवधारणीय, और (२) उत्तरवैक्रिय। ___ उनमें से भवधारणीय शरीर की जघन्य अवगाहना अगुल के असंख्यातवें भाग और उत्कृष्ट पाँच सौ धनुष की है।
उत्तरवैक्रिय शरीर की अवगाहना जघन्य अगुल के संख्यातवें भाग और उत्कृष्ट एक हजार धनुषप्रमाण है।
विवेचन-नारक जीवो की अवगाहना के विषय मे सक्षेप मे यह जानना चाहिए कि जिस नरक में जितनी भवधारणीय (उस भव सम्बन्धी) सामान्य अवगाहना है, उत्तरवैक्रिय करने पर उससे दुगुनी हो सकती है, इससे अधिक नही।
