Illustration No. 6 अंगुल-प्रमाण के तीन भेद (१) सूची अंगुल-एक अगुल लम्बी रेखा जिसकी चौडाई एक प्रदेश हो।
(२) प्रतर अंगुल-एक अंगुल लम्बी, एक अगुल चौडी समचौरस आकृति। सूची अगुल के वर्ग को प्रतर अंगुल कहा जाता है।
(३) घन अंगुल-एक अंगुल लम्बी, एक अगुल चौडी और एक अगुल मोटी आकृति घन आकृति-घन अगुल कही जाती है। यह तीनो आयामो मे फैली हुई होती है।
-सूत्र ३३७ तथा ३५६, पृष्ठ ७९ तथा १३६ (४) काकणी रत्न-प्राचीनकाल में यह एक सिक्के के रूप मे प्रचलित था। भरत चक्रवर्ती के चौदह रत्नो में एक रत्न है। काकणी रत्न की बाईं ओर वाली आकृति का वर्णन सूत्र मे किया गया है। दाहिनी ओर अहरन की आकृति वाला काकणी रल है। क. संकेत से कोटि, को. सकेत से कोण तथा त. से तल समझे। एक काकणी रत्न में १२ कोटि, ८ कोण तथा ६ तल होते है।

THREE KINDS OF ANGUL PRAMAAN (1) Suchyangul (Linear Angul)-One angul long and one space-point wide row of space-points.
(2) Pratarangul (Square Angul)-A square shape one angul long and one angul wide In other words square of Suchyangul is Pratarangul.
(3) Ghanangul (Cubic Angul)-A cube one angul long, one angul wide and one angul high is called Ghanangul. It has three dimensions.

On right is the anvil shaped gem. Ka., Ko. and Ta. stand for projection, corner and surface A Kakani gem has 12 projections, 8 corners and 6 surfaces.
