It included not only cattle, cow, bullocks but also horses. Since cow was most O S T A P D prominent among them,it was called godhan (wealth ofcows). O OT R A D FOT Khetta-Vatthu—‘Khetta’ means agricultural land. ‘Vatthu’ O(33 AAT has two meanings—Vastu and Vaastu. ‘Vastu’ means utensils, A W O O T T beds and household of daily use. ‘Vaastu’ means vacant land, AIR O O TAA house, residential building. YD T O O K Nivartan—It is a measure of land. In old days, the E ¥ O O A T measurement upto the place from where the ox driven plough N LO OO A turns, was knownas one ‘nivartan’. In English Dictionary, 200 P EI O E L haath long and 200 haath wide,i.e., 40,000 sq. haath land was N P I oS called ‘nivartan’. 100 nivartan land was equal to one bigha. O ANT P O In case of bullock-carts, Anand had kept 500 carts for travel o AWWR and 500 for carrying goods. Similarly, he had kept two types of O PAM YNA o big boats—fourfor travel and four for carrying goods. These facts O t E D ¥ oP indicate that he traded by land route and also by waterways.
