A vow is a firm mental i°o TARE S determination in life. This determination exhibits the keenness of a O FANS humanbeing and sharpenshis outlook. The code of twelve vowsis an O O T N TA ideal mode of Shravak's conduct. It contains the entire religious life- * O R T style of a householder. N A T I A The twelve vows have been divided in three categories— = T O GS (1) Primary Vows (Sheel-Vrat)—Five Anu-Vrats are called C I D e & primary vows. Sheel means basic conduct.
