आदि के जीर्ण-शीर्ण हो जाने, झर जाने, सड़ जाने, पीले और म्लान हो जाने से उसकी शोभा समाप्त हो जाती है और वह रमणीय नहीं रहता है।
(b) Keshi Kumar Shraman said—“Pradeshi ! The forest-region, the garden looks grand and pleasant when it is full of green leaves, blooming flowers, fruit and thick shade, when it is full of greenery. But when it is without leaves, flowers, fruit and green vegetation then it is not longer green or shining. It looks ugly and dreadful. Its grandeur comes to an end when the bark of the dry trees and their leaves become yellow, rotten, ugly and fall down. It no longer looks pleasant and worth enjoying.
(ग) जया णं णट्टसाला वि गिज्जइ वाइज्जइ नचिन्नइ हसिजइ रमिजइ तया णं णट्टसाला रमणिज्जा भवइ, जया णं नट्टसाला णो गिजइ जाव णो रमिजइ तया णं णट्टसाला - अरमणिज्जा भवति।
(ग) इसी प्रकार नाट्यशाला में भी जब तक गीत गाये जा रहे हैं, बाजे बजते रहते हैं, नृत्य होते रहते हैं, लोगों के हास्य की ध्वनियाँ व्याप्त रहती हैं और विविध प्रकार की क्रीड़ायें
होती रहती हैं तब तक नृत्यशाला रमणीय-सुहावनी लगती है। किन्तु जब उसी नृत्यशाला 9 में गीत नहीं गाये जा रहे हों, क्रीडायें नहीं हो रही हों, जनशून्य हो गई हो, तब वही
नृत्यशाला असुहावनी और डरावनी लगती है। ___(c) Similarly when the songs are being sung, the music is being played, dances are being performed, the bubbles of laughter are spreading all over and various types of games and sports are in progress, that dramatic hall looks pleasant and worthy of
enjoyment. But when there is no longer any music, there are no * sports and it is without spectators, then the theatre (the dancing
hall) presents an ugly look. It appears dreadful.
(घ) जया णं इक्खुवाडे छिज्जइ भिजइ सिजइ पिञ्जइ दिजइ तया णं इक्खुवाडे रमणिजे भवइ, जया णं इक्खुवाडे णो छिन्नइ जाव तया इक्खुवाडे अरमणिग्ने भवइ।
(घ) जब तक इक्षुवाड-(ईख के खेत) में ईख कटती हों, टूटती हों, पेरी जाती हों, ॐ आते-जाते लोग उसका रस पीते हों, कोई इक्षु लेते-देते हों, तब तक वह इक्षुवाड बहुत
सुहावना और रमणीय लगता है। किन्तु जब उसी इक्षुवाड में ईख न कटती हों, लोगों का आवागमन नहीं होता हो, तब वही मन को अरमणीय-अप्रिय, अनिष्टकर लगने लगता है।
