________________ cam Guruww Artiwww first is related to the future. Any statement about the future is completely prohibited because the future is always uncertain. The second and third are the present and the past. Any statement about these should be made only after being certain of the facts. The commentators explain-To call someone you see as man or woman without making sure of the sex is a doubtful statement about the present. To say that it was a cow you saw when you do not remember if it was a cow or a bull is a doubtful statement ___about the past. | ८ : अइअम्मि य कालम्मि पच्चुप्पन्नमणागए। जमटुं तु न जाणिज्जा एवमेअं ति नो वए॥ ९ : अइअम्मि य कालम्मि पच्चुप्पन्नमणागए। जत्थ संका भवे तं तु एवमेयं ति नो वए॥ १0 : अइअम्मि य कालम्मि पच्चुप्पन्नमणागए। निस्संकिअं भवे जं तु एवमेयं ति निद्दिसे ॥ अतीत, वर्तमान तथा अनागत (भविष्य) काल सम्बन्धी जिस अर्थ के स्वरूप को भली प्रकार नहीं जानता हो उसके विषय में 'यह ऐसा ही है'-इस प्रकार कथन नहीं करना चाहिए॥८॥ भूत, वर्तमान और भविष्यकाल में जिस तथ्य-कथ्य के विषय के यदि कोई शंका हो तो, उसके विषय में भी ‘यह इसी प्रकार है' ऐसा निश्चयात्मक वचन न SSA बोले॥९॥ अतीतकाल, वर्तमानकाल तथा आगामीकाल सम्बन्धी अर्थज्ञान यदि निःशंकित हो (संदेहरहित हो) तो साधु उसके विषय को 'यह ऐसा ही है' इस प्रकार निश्चयात्मक कह सकता है।॥१०॥ 8, 9, 10.
