षड्जीवनिकाय के कुल ५६३ भेद होते हैं। चित्र संख्या ५-६ में जीवों के भिन्न-भिन्न भेदों - को चित्रों द्वारा दर्शाया गया है। ELABORATION:
(9) Bahave tasapana--Numerous classes of mobile beings. There are many different systems of classification of mobile beings. Besides the above mentioned, two more are noted here-Based on movement-(1) Labdhi tras, or having voluntary movement (this includes all above mentioned beings of the animal world). (2) Gati tras, or having involuntary movement like fire and air. ____Based on birth-(1) Andaj, or born from an egg, as are birds, reptiles, etc. (2) Potaj or born as fully formed infants, as are elephants. (3) Jarayuj, or placental, such as man. (4) Rasaj or born out of liquids. (5) Samsvedaj, or born out of sweat. (6) Sammoorchanaj, or produced from asexual origin. (7) Udbhij, or those that burst out of the earth when born. (8) Aupapatik, or born suddenly like the hell beings and gods. ___It is mentioned that there are 563 different classifications of living beings. (illustrations 5 and 6)
१0. इच्चेसिं छण्हं जीवनिकायाणं नेव सयं दंड समारंभिज्जा नेवन्नेहिं दंडं समारंभाविज्जा दंडं समारंभंते वि अन्ने न समणुजाणिज्जा। ___ जावज्जीवाए तिविहं तिविहेणं मणेणं वायाए कारणं न करेमि न || कारवेमि करतं पि अन्नं न समणुजाणामि।
तस्स भंते ! पडिक्कमामि निन्दामि गरिहामि अप्पाणं वोसिरामि। - इन छहों जीवनिकायों के प्रति दण्ड-समारंभ अर्थात् पीड़ा कष्ट पहुँचाने की क्रिया न तो स्वयं करनी चाहिए, न करानी चाहिए और न करने वाले का अनुमोदन करना चाहिए।
समस्त जीवन पर्यन्त मैं तीन करण-मन से, वचन से, काया से तथा तीन र योग-करना, कराना व अनुमोदन करना-से दण्ड-समारम्भ नहीं करूँगा।
