के समीप पाण्डु मथुरा की ओर जाओगे । रास्ते में विश्राम लेने के लिये कौशाम्ब वन उद्यान में अत्यन्त विशाल वटवृक्ष के नीचे, पृथ्वी शिलापट्ट पर, पीताम्बर ओढ़कर तुम सो जाओगे । उस समय (मृग के भ्रम में) जराकुमार द्वारा चलाया गया तीक्ष्ण तीर तुम्हारे बायें पैर में विद्ध होने
से तुम पार्थिव शरीर का त्याग करोगे । Maxim 6:
Then Krsna Vasudeva spoke thus to Arihanta Aristanemi-O Bhagawan ! Leaving this body at the time of death, where shall I go ? Where shall I take birth ? । Arihanta Aristanemi said thus to Krsna Väsudeva-O Krsna ! Dwārakā city will be burnt and destroyed due to the causes-wine, fire and wrath of Dwaipāyana and at the loss of your parents and family members you will also he bereaved. Then you with Rāma-Baladeva will start along southern coast of sea towards the city of Pandumathurā, to go to Yudhisthira (elder) (Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula, Sahadeva). the five sons of king Pandu-five Pāndavas. In between you will reach Kośāmbi forest. For taking rest you will sleep under a huge banyan tree, and on a stone-rock covering your body with a yellow robe. At that time, you will be pierced in the left foot by a sharp arrow released from the bow (in the delusion of a deer) of Jarā Kumāra. Thus you will leave this body.
विवेचन
द्वारका विनाश एवं श्रीकृष्ण के देहत्याग का वृत्तान्त
प्रचलित कथा के अनुसार कहा जाता है कि मदिरा को द्वारका विनाश का कारण जान कर कृष्ण वासुदेव ने सम्पूर्ण द्वारका में मद्य-निषेध कर दिया तथा बची-खुची मदिरा नगर के बाहर फिंकवा दी।
