________________ The wrong perception, attachment to the body as well as its environments and Kashäy are thus the principal causes of Asrav and the resulting bondage. They are laid down differently in different context. For instance, in Tattvärthasutra Lord Umäswäti lays down Mithyätva (wrong perception), Avirati (absence of restraint), Pramäd (indolence), Kashay (defilement) and Yog (embodiment) as the five causes of Bandh. Of those five, Mithyätva, Avirati, Pramäd and Kashay arise due to Moh (delusion), and Moh arises out of Ajnän (ignorance of soul about itself). As such, Ajnän and Yog are the two major factors leading to Asrav.
