Purusa being absolutely changeless nothing can obstruct his darśana. Hence these thinkers have not recognized any obstructive veil with regard to darśana. They have recognized obstructive veils with regard to jñāna which belongs to citta alone (tadā sarvāvaraṇamalāpetasya jñānasya... Yogasūtra 4.31). The Buddhists have recognized jfieyavarana. The term 'jfieyavarana' suggests both the avaranas, viz. jñānāvaraṇa and darśanāvarana. When Up. Yasovijayaji discusses the view of successive occurrence of kevalajñāna and kevaladarśana he gives this as one of the possible alternatives.
