An eminent scholar of Prakrit and Jain Studies had been a Professor in Sanskrit and Ardhamagadhi in the Ramanarain Ruia College, Bombay; a research Professor in the Department of Indology, Christian Albrecht University of Kiel, (Germany); Professor and Research guide in Prakrit and Jainism in the Vaishali Institute, Muzaffarpur. He has lectured in USA, UK, France, Canada and Latin American universities and published numerous research papers. His monumental "History and Development of Prakrit Literature" is under print.
