________________ 110 told him that his sons had come to meet him. The old man felt deeply moved when both the sons fell at his feet. He held both of them in a close embrace and tears burst out from his eyes and miraculously enough, he regained his lost vision. The old man was extremely happy to see both his sons. Valkalaci rin looked around his father's hermitage and remembered that he had been there. He also travelled back in his mind to his previous birth when he was a pious monk. Concentrating in this manner, upon his earlier memory, he quickly passed through the different stages of contemplation and at last attained perfect knowledge. He settled down to preach the Jain faith to his father and brother as a Pratyekabuddha. He entrusted his father to the care of Mahāvira. Prasannacandra returned to his palace.
