What is there to fight for a small piece of bamboo. He is a Brahmin. Let him take it.
If he is a Brahmin
he should seek alms, why steal. I will never allow him to steal.
Karkandu replied fearlessly
Whoever has this piece of bamboo will become a king. This bamboo is from our cremation ground tried to it rightfully belongs to me. He has committ the theft, he should be punished.
