The first and most important step for all aspirants who seek progress in the spiritual path is to overcome the four major undesirable passions (KASHAYAS) such as Anger, Pride, Deception and Greed. Shrimad shows a very practical approach to overcome these undesirable passions: By always being vigilant for the feelings of Anger, by being very bumble, by developing the habit of becoming a neutral observer in daily life and by constantly curtailing the desire for worldly possesions as well as the desire for the respect and adoration of others.
