Kalugumalai Mentions that Padamülattan Aranganmagan of Koṭṭāgu caused the sacred image to be made. ARE, 69/1894, SII, Vol. V, No. 358. Kalugumalai Records that the sacred image was caused to be made by Pūrṇachandran, the disciple of Kanakanandi-bhațara of Kugandi. ARE, 70/1894, SII, Vol. V, No. 359.
