Date Kollam 696 (1520 A.D.) Tamil, Tamil and Grantha Language and Script Contents Records that the king Bhūtalavīra SriUdayamārttāņdavarmar, while staying in his residence at Kalakkādu alias Solakulavallipurattu - Viramārttānda - Chaturvēdimangalam, issued the orders granting 21 mā of land as paļļichchandam in the Mummudicholapuraparou (Kottārupaffu) for the expenses of conducting mid-day worship to the Nāga in the temple and instituted a sandi in his name as Viramarttaşdan-Sandi. Remarks Kalakkāņu in Nângunari taluk of Tirunelvēli Kattabomman district was one of the important camping centres of the Travancore kings.
