It was a great pleasure to visit the temples in the Jaisalmer fort famous for their exquisite and fine stone carvings of great antiquity. The library has some unique manuscripts and rare lacquer work and other paintings of pre-Moghul era, which are well preserved and should be of great interest to the research scholar.
I hope detailed and illustrated catalogues of these works will be prepared and published so that these valuable art treasures that depict the glory of our past may be more widely known and appreciated..
