- चौथा उद्देशक] [351 22. चरियानियट्टे भिक्खू जाव चउराय-पंचरायाओ थेरे पासेज्जा, __ सच्चेव आलोयणा, सच्चेव पडिक्कमणा, सच्चेव ओग्गहस्स पुन्वाणुन्नवणा चिट्ठइ, अहालंदमवि ओग्गहे। 23. चरियानियट्टे भिक्खू परं चउराय-पंचरायाओ थेरे पासेज्जा, पुणो पालोएज्जा, पुणो पडिक्कमेज्जा, पुणो छेयपरिहारस्स उवढाएज्जा। भिक्खूभावस्स अट्टाए दोच्चं पि ओग्गहे अणुन्नवेयव्वे सिया। कप्पइ से एवं वइत्तए-'अणुजाणह भंते ! मिओग्गहं अहालंदं धुवं नितियं वेउट्टियं / ' तओ पच्छा काय-संफासं / 20. चर्या में प्रविष्ट भिक्षु यदि चार-पांच रात की अवधि में स्थविरों को देखे (मिले) तो उन भिक्षुओं को वही आलोचना, वही प्रतिक्रमण और कल्पपर्यंत रहने के लिये वही अवग्रह की पूर्वानुज्ञा रहती है। 21. चर्या में प्रविष्ट भिक्षु यदि चार-पांच रात के बाद स्थविरों को देखे (मिले) तो वह पुनः अालोचना-प्रतिक्रमण करे और आवश्यक दीक्षाछेद या तप रूप प्रायश्चित्त में उपस्थित हो।। भिक्षुभाव (संयम की सुरक्षा) के लिए उसे दूसरी बार अवग्रह की अनुमति लेनी चाहिए / वह इस प्रकार प्रार्थना करे कि-'हे भदन्त ! मितावग्रह में विचरने के लिए, कल्प अनुसार करने के लिए, ध्रुव नियमों के लिये अर्थात् दैनिक क्रियायें करने के लिए प्राज्ञा दें तथा पुनः आने की अनुज्ञा दीजिए।' इस प्रकार कहकर वह उनके चरण का स्पर्श करे / 22. चर्या से निवृत्त कोई भिक्षु यदि चार-पांच रात की अवधि में स्थविरों को देखे (मिले) तो उसे वही पालोचना वही प्रतिक्रमण और कल्प पर्यन्त रहने के लिये वही अवग्रह की पूर्वानुज्ञा रहती है। 23. चर्या से निवृत्त भिक्षु यदि चार-पांच रात के बाद स्थविरों से मिले तो वह पुनः आलोचना-प्रतिक्रमण करे और आवश्यक दीक्षाछेद या तपरूप प्रायश्चित्त में उपस्थित हो। __ भिक्षुभाव (संयम की सुरक्षा) के लिये उसे दूसरी बार अवग्रह की अनुमति लेनी चाहिए / वह इस प्रकार से प्रार्थना करे कि- 'हे भदन्त ! मुझे मितावग्रह की, यथालन्दकल्प की ध्रुव, नित्य क्रिया करने की और पुनः पाने की अनुमति दीजिए।' इस प्रकार कहकर वह उनके चरणों का स्पर्श करे। विवेचन----प्रस्तुत सूत्रचतुष्क में 'चरिका' शब्द के दो अर्थ विवक्षित किए गये हैं(१) पूर्वसूत्रोक्त वजिकागमन (2) विदेश या दूरदेश गमन यहां इन दोनों प्रकार की चरिका के दो प्रकार कहे गये हैं (1) प्रविष्ट-जितने समय की आज्ञा प्राप्त हुई है, उतने समय के भीतर वजिका में रहा हुआ या दूर देश एवं विदेश की यात्रा में रहा हुआ भिक्षु /
