सूर्यप्रज्ञप्ति के सूत्रपाठ
पूर्व प्रकाशित सूर्यप्रज्ञप्ति के मूल सूत्रों से प्रस्तुत सूर्यप्रज्ञप्ति के मूल सूत्र यदि अक्षरशः मिलाना चाहेंगे तो नहीं मिलेंगे। क्योंकि इस संस्करण के सूत्रों को कई पूरक वाक्यों से पूरित किया है, फिर भी सूत्र पाठों की प्रामाणिकता यथावत
आगमों के विशेषज्ञ ही सूत्र पाठों की व्यवस्था के औचित्य को समझ सकेंगे।
सामान्य अंतर के अतिरिक्त चन्द्रप्रज्ञप्ति और सूर्यप्रज्ञप्ति सर्वथा समान हैं, इसलिये एक के परिचय से दानों का परिचय स्वतः हो जाता है। उपांगद्वय - परिचय
. संकलनकर्ता द्वारा निर्धारित नाम - ज्योषिगणराजप्रज्ञप्ति है।
प्रारम्भ में संयुक्त प्रचलित नाम – चन्द्र-सूर्यप्रज्ञप्ति रहा होगा। बाद में उपांगद्वय के रूप में विभाजित नाम - चन्द्रप्रज्ञप्ति, सूर्यप्रज्ञप्ति हो गये हैं, जो अभी प्रचलित हैं।
प्रत्येक प्रज्ञप्ति में बीस प्राभृत हैं और प्रत्येक प्रज्ञप्ति में १०८ सूत्र हैं।
तृतीय प्राभृत से नवम् प्राभृत पर्यंत अर्थात् सात प्राभृतों में और ग्याहरवें प्राभृत से बीसवें प्राभृत पर्यंत अर्थात् दस प्राभृतों में प्राभृत-प्राभृत' नहीं हैं।
केवल प्रथम, द्वितीय और दसवें प्राभृत में 'प्राभृत-प्राभृत' हैं। - संयुक्त संख्या के अनुसार सतरह प्राभृतों में प्राभृत-प्राभृत' नहीं है। केवल तीन प्राभृतों में प्राभृत-प्राभृत' हैं।

If one were to compare the original sutras of the Suryaprajnapti presented here with the previously published Suryaprajnapti, they would not match exactly. This is because the sutras in this edition have been supplemented with several additional sentences. However, the authenticity of the sutra-patha remains intact. Only experts in the Agamas will be able to understand the justification for the arrangement of the sutra-patha.

**Introduction to the Two Upangas**

Apart from minor differences, Chandraprajnapti and Suryaprajnapti are completely identical. Therefore, an introduction to one automatically introduces the other.

* The name determined by the compiler is Jyotiganarajprajnapti.
* Initially, the combined name in circulation would have been Chandra-Suryaprajnapti. Later, the two Upangas were divided and named Chandraprajnapti and Suryaprajnapti, which are still in use today.
