present life. क विवेचन-किस जीव को अगले भव का आयुष्य कब बँधता है, इस विषय में संस्कृत टीका में निम्न गाथा उद्धृत है
निरइ सुर असंखाउ तिरि-मणुआ सेसए उ छम्मासे। इग-विगला निरुवक्कम तिरि-मणुया आउय तिभागे। अवसेसा सोवक्कम तिभाग नवभाग सत्तवीसइमे।
बंधंति परभवाउं नियइ भवे सब जीवा उ॥ ____ -नैरयिक, देव, तथा असंख्यात वर्ष की आयुष्य वाले तिर्यंच और मनुष्य, जब इनकी आयु छः महीने
शेष रहती है तब वे परभव की आयु का बन्ध करते हैं। निरुपक्रम आयु वाले तिर्यंच और मनुष्य अपनी ॥ म आयु के तीसरे भाग में अगले भव की आयु का बंध करते हैं। शेष सोपक्रम आयु वाले जीव अपनी आयु के - तीसरे, नौवें तथा सत्ताइसवें भाग में आयु का बंध करते हैं। (हिन्दी टीका भाग-२ पृष्ठ २४१)

Infernal beings, gods and human beings with a life span of $ innumerable years acquire the bondage of life span of next birth when
six months are left from their present life. Animals and human beings with nirupakram (irreducible) life span acquire the bondage of life span of next birth when one third of their present life span is remaining. All
the remaining beings with sopakram (reducible) life span acquire the 4 bondage of life span of next birth when one third, one ninth or one $
