(5) In यादृश, तादृश, कीदृश, ईदृश, दृश is changed to अइस and the
preceding vowel is dropped
यादृशः-जइसु; तादृशः-तइसुः कीदृशः-कइसु; ईदृशः-अइसु. (6) अन्यादृश is changed to अण्णाइस or अवराइस
अन्यादृशः-अण्णाइसु or अवराइसु. (7) In परस्पर, अ is inserted in the beginning
परस्परः-अवरोवरु. (8) अन्यथा and सर्व are changed to अनु and साह respectively
अन्यथा-अनु; सर्वः-साहु; सव्वु also. In regard to declensions the following general rules for the changes that terminations undergo should be carefully
noted:(1) Nom. and Acc. terminations, Sing. and Plu., are dropped
(सुससोः ॥३।४।१७ ॥ ). (2) The ending vowels of nouns are shortened or lengthened
generally before the case terminations (दिहो सुपि ॥ ३।
४।१॥). (3) The Voc. Plu. termination is changed to हो; भिस्, and सु
are changed to हिं ( हो जस आमन्त्रणे ॥३।४।१८ ॥ and हिं भिसू
सुपोः ॥३। ४ । १९ ॥). (4) The Gen. Sing. and Plu. terminations are generally
dropped. The forms of the and 15, Mas, nouns ending in and ,
have similar changes in them. They are given at the end. (5) The ending अ of nouns, preceded by क् or त् ( of the स्वार्थ
वाचक suffix क and त् of the Past Participle त ) is in the neuter gender changed to Å before g and 374 ( Nom, and
Acc. Sing.) (क्तान्तस्यात उं स्वमोः ॥ ३॥ ४ ॥ २५ ॥). (6) जसू and शसू are in the Neu. gender changed to ई (इं नपि ।।
