________________ 249 Ätmasiddhi Enlightenment changes one's entire outlook. In that light, he clearly makes out the utter transitory nature of the worldly life. The worldly objects therefore no longer seem attractive to him. That absence of attachment towards the worldly life is itself the sign of overcoming delusion. Those, who think of enlightenment while remaining attached to worldly aspects, merely delude themselves. Pitiable is the state of such deluded beings! સકળ જગત તે એંઠવત, અથવા સ્વપ્ન સમાન; તે કહીએ જ્ઞાનીદશા, બાકી વાચાજ્ઞાન. 1198011 Sakal Jagat Te Enthvat, Athavä Swapna Samän; Te Kahie Jnäni Dasha, Bäki Vächäjnän. When the entire universe looks like used (rejected) food or a dream, it is called the enlightened state; otherwise it is mere verbal knowledge. - 140 - Explanation & Discussion: This stanza gives other significant signs of enlightenment. To an enlightened person, the entire universe seems like left over or rejected food.
