________________ 213 Ätmasiddhi Chapter 17 Statement of the Pupil's Enlightenment As mentioned in the last chapter, the dialogue between the preceptor and the pupil came to an end, when the Guru assumed silence and ecstasy. By watching him, the pupil is also induced to turn introvert. Thereby he could experience his soul abiding within. What he had heard from the Guru regarding the six Fundamentals now comes to his experiential level. In stanza 117, the Guru stated that the pupil can realize his true nature, if he contemplates over it. The pupil did accordingly and thereby realized his true nature. In other words, he got enlightened. Now he does not need to know anything more. However, in order to be sure that what he has realized is right, he likes to state how the concept underlying the six Fundamentals has been assimilated by him. સદ્ગુરુના ઉપદેશથી, આવ્યું અપૂર્વ ભાન; નિજપદ નિજમાંહી લહ્યું, દૂર થયું અજ્ઞાન.
